Since roughly 1998, I have been giving informal presentations to my local Linux User Group (Boston Linux & UNIX). This site (linuxsoup.com) emerged as a place to store & share my outlines, documents, pictures, etc...

At one point, I developed my own little web-portal (was called 'docmgr', later called 'ladle') which I had used to run this site. Or in other words, serve soup. Over time however, my personal family/work-life reduced my time for coding, and so I recently converted to using Drupal. Amazingly enough, the internals of Drupal are very similar to Ladle as so the porting efforts of my best plugins/blocks/skins should be easy. Work on updating and expanding the capabilities of Ladle have ceased. If at some point a niche for linuxsoup.com evolves, I would like to open the site for community participation. But until then, it will remain my little play ground.
